Exploring Engineering Marvels with Suspension Bridge Models 
Students in grade VI recently constructed a suspension bridge to investigate the significance of choosing the right materials when designing any object. 
The purpose of this STEM activity was to teach the pupils that every material has characteristics that determine what can be made of it. This exercise gave them a platform to talk about how successful the materials and design were, as well as what worked and what needed to be changed for the next models. 
This STEM activity helped them to conclude that understanding the components and their functions is essential to appreciating any creation.
